Street vendor Eric Walker went to court yesterday charged with trafficking cocaine that he allegedly sold in ginger mints and chocolates on the Main Road in Chaguanas.
Walker, 47, was refused bail when he appeared before Magistrate Nanette Forde-John in the Chaguanas First Court.
Walker, of Nimblett Street, Enterprise, Chaguanas, was among 21 people arrested during a crime sweep through the Central Division on Wednesday.
The raids were led by Senior Superintendent Rattan Singh and involved officers working out of the newly-opened Brasso Police Post, where people with information about criminals are being invited to tell what they know.
Walker, who was arrested as he sold cigarettes and sweets, was remanded in prison custody and will re-appear in court on February 7.
